I have a older 9 MM G2 that I have about 500 rounds thru it and a newer 9 MM G2C that has near 200 rounds, never a problem with either,
The new on does not have a internal lock like the old one. It had newer looking cleaner roll marks on the slide and the frame has a new texture design, I did notice some slight machining differences of the slide's ejection port. There are other differences I am sure, but the biggie is the absence of the lock.
I bought the G2C to see the differences and it is really Ho-Hum to me, I do like the changes, but other than the lock and maybe the ejection port, it seem so …. cosmetic.
The PT-140 G2C is actually shipping as of late April. I did buy a new PT-140 G2C and shot it last month too. eleven rounds of Underwood 150 Grain JHP (I think Nosler Bullets), and forty 165 Grain JHP of new LAX Ammo. I shot at a 8x12" plate, about 25 yards away, all went "bang" and all went "Ping". I need to shoot it more and will soon, some different Underwood and a lot more LAX and Fiocchi. Oh and I took it out of my pocket to shoot it. I wear Wrangler jeans and it fills, but fully hides, in my front pocket, in a holster. I was used to the kind of weird feeling trigger form the two 9 MM's. My 40 trigger seemed better. These models have adjustable rear sights, lateral and vertical (not really windage to me as it takes a Allen wrench and not elevation as it needs the same wrench, but close) Anyway not too shabby for the $205 I paid.
