Same purpose as any other mag - except it holds MUCH more!!!! Very cool!

Too bad none of Birdman's products are anything more than fun graphics.

While not a terribly practical magazine, the drum magazine would be great addition to your bedside gun. Or maybe you have one of those 1911 carbine conversion kits and you want a little more capacity. Well, here it is.

Drum magazines have not been terribly popular over the years, in part because they are a pain to load, in part because they create unnecessary bulk to the weapon. At the last gun show, I saw a double snail magazine for M-16/AR-15 that held something like 100 rounds. Nobody seemed too terribly interested in it. Drums went over poorly for Thompson submachine guns as well.
