Kimber Tactical Ultra II 3" most days in the warmer part of the year (about 4 months up here in Washington state), I am building a double-stack full size right now that will be my winter gun once the bugs are worked out.

Hakan Pek makes a very similar design - I have a pair of his cherry wood grips done that way on my Kimber Pro II HD in .45.
W-o-w! Couldn't quickly find a site for Hakan Pek, but found lots of photos. Mercy! some pretty grip stocks.

I sometimes carry a Springfield Champion Operator 4'' aluminum frame I bought on Trump's Inauguration Day in a nice Galco leather holster.

Small, lightweight and can hide under a button shirt.

My primary carry gun is an Ed Brown Commander with aluminum frame in .45 ACP. I have a steel Kobra Carry, as well, that I tote when I’m wearing a suit. Both IWB.

For a very long time I have said that the S&W 1911’s are the most underrated 1911’s on the market.
I've got two of them.

The other is a government size with adjustable sights. Both the pistols have been flawless. Both are extremely accurate. I've got NO complaints about my S&W 1911's.

Carried a steel frame commander bobtail (DW VBob) for quite a few years until my back decided it doesn't like an EDC that heavy. Did Glocks and a lightweight CCO for some times as well.

Now I've moved to the quasi 1911 Wilson EDC X9.

I carried a Wilson Combat, lightweight, full size, 45 acp, 1911 for a long time as an edc. I switched to a HL P 2000 mainly because it was lighter. I am curious to know how many here carry a 1911 as an edc and whether it is an all steel or lightweight,. a commander or full size?
I only very recently purchased the new Springfield 1911 "Ronin Operator" w/ 4.25" barrel in 9mm on an aluminum frame . . . so far, soo good !!! . . . i.e. - ALL that I'd hoped it would be !!!

I carry a 1943 or 1944 Remington Rand US Army 45, I can't remember the actual date. I inherited it from my brother in law last year. Not my first 45, and I have had Glocks a Sig and a Berretta until a recent boating accident.

Dan Wesson Vigil CCO 1911 .45acp. Commander size slide , Officer size frame. Weighs 29.5 oz. Just slightly heavier, than the HK P2000, and is a larger caliber, than the P2000 9mm/.40 SW.

I've been EDCing a Kimber Pro Carry 9mm for the past 18 months. Prior to that it was a Ruger Lightweight 9mm for 2 years. However, I'm almost 60, and being prior LEO, I switched to a custom G19. I can document qualifications on Glocks, but not 1911s. The lighter weight is a plus, too.

WC Hackathorn Special 9mm LW commander in a Milt Sparks Summer Special II is my EDC... Loaded with Federal 147gr HST -- not +P... Carry the LW Commander work days for sure, but have to admit I carry a S&W 340 J-frame sometimes on the weekends!
