Later on this afternoon I made it home, relaxing a bit. Wiped it down with some Gibbs and decided to swap grips with a pair that have been in the safe...waiting on me to give 'em a go.
Lighting really changes the appearance quite a bit.
I've been extremely pleased with this Nighthawk....my first.
This was a collaboration between Nighthawk and Advanced Armament from about ten years back.
I am sure you all have seen these a zillion times but I just dug her out for a pic when I was organizing some stuff.
That TRS-Comp is one that I never saw coming. Was vastly different than the typical .45 government or commander that I enjoy.
After my wife's passing I found myself with time on my hands....time that needs filling. Two interests that emerged....thanks to some shooting friends....was extended range rifle and fast action-type pistol.
I ordered the TRS-Comp and waited.
Added a 2011 P DPO during the wait time and have been extremely pleased with the great handing of this type handgun.....accuracy at speed. I've adopted the use of red dot sights on some guns, too.
The irony is this TRS-C is IOS configured. I have an RMR dedicated for it....yet I leave the gun in it's Heinie state. 👍
I love the sight picture and it's sameness as compared to my only other Hawk, a Falcon in .38 Super (which may very well be my favoritist of favorites. The gun feels better in my hand than any I've ever owned).
It is silly how well these guns shoot for me....and I'm no great shot.
They both want to run fast.....the TRS-C wicked fast. Both draw the ire of some RSO's.
I'm forever asking their forgiveness for rate-of-fire shenanigans. It ain't purty, but it's how I roll. Explore limits and ask for forgiveness. Luckily, though......I'm a slow driver. Good thing my midlife crisis toys have triggers, not rally wheels and fast V-8's.
I took my daughter out to the range yesterday and she again brought her Bull Officer. What a fantastic gun and the slide runs like it is on ball bearings, smoothest feel that I have ever felt. I ordered almost a duplicate of hers when we were down there in May but mine will be a complete DLC gun. Don’t expect it til fall of 2023. If it comes earlier I’d be ecstatic. Her gun but I’ll post a pic since it’s the photo thread.
