Been seeing some new DW pistolas for sale once again.

This is a great sign.

Hope the momentum continues.

Discerning fans of 1911 really NEED Dan Wesson to hit on all 8 cylinders.

Guns with high quality internals, well-fitted, highly accurate, nicely finished and reliably functioning....just like before.

Quality that was well worth the price.....and not having to overpay for it, either.

I wish them the best.

I wish us all the best....especially considering the prevailing social pressures to halt the shooting sports & it's participants.

I’ve noticed the increase in availability as well, particularly Valors and Specialists. Definitely a good thing. As to quality issues, I’ve seen mention on here of these but I don’t personally have a 2020 built DW to compare with.

I have 2 2020 models, a Pointman 9 and a Valor Bobtail Commander, both stainless. Quality is first rate. Compares equally with a new Les Baer UTC i just purchased.

Interesting. I’ve been on the hunt for a new (2021) Valor since late last year. No luck so far. My two longtime lgs both said “not happening”. None too keen about buying a gun on line, and all the popular ones have never responded to my wait list sign ups. Fortunately I’ve been buying guns for decades so it’s not like I’m desperate to get one. For the first time in my life this country has a house of cards feel to it...

My yearly 20 rounds of self defense rounds, were an absolute hens teeth hunt this year.
I replace them yearly. And shoot the old ones.
but at least I found a box, then payed way to much…

like the upbeat message, just not so sure I believe it, gunsmiths are a few years behind, guns sold out, optics and mounts all sold out, and ammo…sigh….ammo.

my 1000 round range days are no more…

hope it does get better.

I'm rooting for them, too! Although I'm still a bit of a skeptic (based on my last couple experiences with them) they are the off the shelf brand I still find most appealing.

For that matter, I really hope that they and Colt both have a strong resurgence! And since I'm wishing- I also hope that CZ will have the colt "rollmarks" put back in focus! I feel like I need to wear a pair of readers when I'm looking at those darn laser rollmarks. ...lol

I think LGSs are hit and miss. You’ll definitely have more luck finding one on line, but I completely understand your reluctance. I’ve had really good luck on Gunbroker but almost got burned on what I thought was a really nice Les Baer. Luckily the scammer made it a little too obvious.

At least you’re in good shape. I think patience is key in this type of market.

Gentlemen save your money. There is going to be a multitude of previously owned barely shot handguns on the market here in a couple of years. Bargains galore. That's what my crystal ball shows.:)
I mostly agree with you. A lot of new buyers will likely be selling over the next few years. I think, though, that many of these will be entry level, plastic guns. The premium level guns have been much less affected. Dan Wesson’s are somewhere in between.

What my crystal ball sees is a lot of bargain Colts will be available.
