Must've been a batch that was subcontracted by SIG.

Got that notice myself. I've read too many not so great things about the GX4 so I stuck with my G2C.

I bought the G3C and G3 because I like the Taurus guns I've had/have AND because they have a manual safety. I think the GX4 is pretty much like the G3C except it doesn't have that safety. It'll be interesting to find out what the problem is, but Taurus 'haters' should know that EVERY gun maker has problems with certain models from time to time.

The GX4 is their micro-compact, similar to a SIG P365. The G2C and G3C are a bit larger, more like a Glock 26 but with a longer grip. I used to have a couple of G2Cs and quickly sold them after having issues with them both and finding out how bad their warranty service is.

Oh, do you mean some idiot beat it with a hammer until it fired? Or it was rolling around loose in a purse full of keys and pens, minding it's own business when it got mad and fired? :p

Never had any issues with the Taurus semis I've had. As other posters have said, ALL manufacturers have issues. Every "boutique, high-end, quality manufacturer" combined hasn't produced as many handguns or fired as many rounds downrange as Taurus Forjas has. And many forget that Taurus produced many handguns for S&W under contract. I'm no big fanboy, but they've worked fine for my hard earned money since the 70's. I just hope they solve the issue quick and get back on track before the anti-gunners get any "ammo".
Well I know that I forgot that Taurus produced many handguns for Smith & Wesson under contract.

In fact I never heard of this before in my life.

At one time Bangor Punta which once owned Smith & Wesson acquired a majority interest in Taurus. Smith & Wesson design features and perhaps some machinery were shared with Taurus, but I don't think any Taurus products were ever sold sporting the entwined S&W logo and represented as being Smith & Wesson products.

Given Smith & Wesson's quality slide perhaps there's something to this rumor.

Most people would be amazed at who makes what for whom........... For example both Remington and Mossberg have some models that are made in Turkey.
My bad, it's supposed to read Winchester & Mossberg. Was just looking at Remingtons before this post. Oops.

Beat me to it! :ROFLMAO:
Hard to believe there would be problems with any Taurus gun. One of the GS that used to work at the LGS would not work on any Taurus guns. Always told customers to send them back to Taurus.

That was probably because Taurus doesn't sell spare parts. Both of mine had a bad extractor spring, and they had to go back to the mother ship to be replaced. Took four months... for a couple of friggin' $1.50 springs I could've replaced in two minutes.

I think it was more the revolvers he had a real issue with.
Taurus has always third rate. For a few bucks more you can buy a real S&W.

I haven't owned Taurus anything, but in direct association with those who do, or have owned Taurus, I have shot their various models and observed their performance enough to determine that one should be wary of the brand.

I'm very much looking forward to verifiable evidence of this statement.

BS! 😆BS! 😂BS! 🤣BS! 😆BS!

That statement sounds like something Joe Biden would say!

Then why did the Brazillian military and police buy tens of thousands of S&W revolvers going back to the 1930s??
Relax Taurus Bashers, I'm sure it's something simple that needs to be addressed before some ham-fisted Idiot u-tuber decides he needs to do a torture test and drop it from a ten story building. I bought a Taurus TH9 a year or so ago that could have easily been in the category of discharging when dropped but I didn't have a hemorrhage and just corrected it myself. Right out of the box I noticed the firing pin block was sticking in the non-block (up) position as a result of a burr on the casting. So I simply removed it, stoned the part smooth, reinstalled it and all worked as advertised.

My brother just had a Taurus replaced under a recall. I think they sent him the G2C as the replacement.
