I saw a Thompson/Auto Ordnance 1911A1 in a case at the range yesterday. Looks just like a WWII repro, nice colors. Any comments? For the price might be hard to pass up....

Curious about the quality. For $375 really liked the way it looked. I do want to spend my money better on the next purchase. Hard to resist for that price. He also had a used SA in stainless for $450, I know it is a better buy.

SE Guns in Trussville has the SA Mil-spec in stainless for $519, blued Mil-spec for about $460, and the SA WWII Mil-spec for $389. All are better investments than the Auto Ordnance, IMHO.

No problem. I've been doing alot of business with them lately. They've got the best prices in the area from what I've seen.
