Thinking of getting one of these in .45 to complement my full size Stainless Custom for more discrete carry. Anyone have one and if so what's your experiance with and opinion of the gun?

I have a SS Ultra Carry to compliment my SS Target and they make a perfect pair. My UC is the daily carry gun while the larger brother is used for everything else. For a compact pistol my UC is very accurate and very reliable. I like having "same" pistol for carry and play since I don't have to remember what "type" of pistol is on hand.

<><> Manny, I have a SS UC, that I use for my carry gun, and a Compact for range work. I am happy with the UC. After a short break-in period,(100 rnds.) it ran flawless. For a 3" barrel, it is extremley accurate, and reliable.

Thanks guys, Rug357's use is exactly what I have in mind. I read a couple positive reviews in gun mags but its good to hear confirmation from guys who paid hard cash for them.

I tote a SS UC everyday. It was dead accurate and reliable from shot one. There was one assembly error from the factory but that was fixed by the dealer on the spot.

I only have two negative comments: If you are going to shoot it a bunch at any one sitting then wear gloves. It will make the web of your hand bleed. Get rid of the rubber grips. Your clothes will hang up on the rubber panels and possibly embarrass you in public. Replace them with checkered wood panels.
