Threaded/Extended barrel for Officers Model

I would like to know if there is a source for a threaded barrel for the Officers model. If not, will a "normal" 1911 barrel work correctly in the officers model? I'm not very well versed in "1911 speak" so it gets confusing sometimes while reading the barrel descriptions.
