God bless our Marines! Although with this current administration they will probably get some form of "non-judicial punishment" for not observing the current policy line of "submit and cower".....arrrgghh!

.........still a lot of speculation as to who the Americans are. One of the injured is a French actor who cut his hand while smashing the glass on an alarm of some sort.

Regardless the Americans instead of running the other way saved those French pansies asses.

Story continues to evolve. Not a Machine Gun, reported as an AK and knife.

Exact identity of US Military involved is uncertain. No specific branch of service confirmed. One person is in critical condition.

They heard the Terrorist loading his AK in the bathroom. They jumped him as he emerged from same bathroom. Bad guy was able to get off some rounds before being subdued. French Civilians were reported to be jumping from the train and running away in expected true to form French fashion. As the American Men charged in to save their lives.

I expect the American Servicemen whom were involved, to be later charged by the French Police for assault and public display of Gallantry in the face of imminent death.

Yes, it does. Leave it to today's news media to get the story out first, and worry about getting it right later.

Once upon a time in France

Does anyone actually expect a Frenchman to show any courage?
The men and women of the Résistance often displayed abundant courage in their struggle against Adolf's crew. Unfortunately, before they died, the members of the Résistance were unable to impart such courage to their descendants.

In all fairness, while the French and Germans both appear like a bunch of cowardly pacifists these days, the destruction wrought on their respective countries during WW2 likely have soured any taste for armed conflict. We Americans have had the luxury of fighting each war on other people's home turf and seeing the carnage it inflicts on their population, while being able to return home to our intact shopping malls and neighborhoods and families who know nothing of what a real war actually looks like.

Remember, the French were our main allies in the Revolution.
And some old guy name Napoleon nearly had the French in charge of it all.
Two world wars were fought over France, they are still digging up duds and non-duds from those.
They didn't do any worse in Viet Nam than we did, either.

WWI & WWII, it's a wonder they had enough survivors to restor the contries. BTW in WWI the French fought valiantly with bad leadership.

Know that if it weren't for the French we'd still have a British monarch. Approx. 90% of the gunpowder used by the Revolutionary Army was supplied by France.
