Have 5 BHP's and several 1911's and must have a more positive "click" on a BHP before it will be considered a decent carry gun. Working with several gunsmiths and have one back from a named one that is plain unsatisfactory. Until then, I will carry an Ed Brown or a H & K 45 C. Just my $0.02.

My read is he wants the Hi Power Safety to give him a positive "click" when
engaging and disengaging. It appears the Gunsmiths that he has been working with
haven't been able to accomplish this for him.

Thomas, Something that's often asked for and is actually fairly easy to accomplish by using a different spring and reshaping the safety plunger.
I agree. This is NOT rocket science. Sounds like whomever he has working his guns needs to be replaced.

That's a ten-minute job at the kitchen table or in the garage workshop.
