Started using titegroup a while ago, 4.5 and a 200 gr lswc. Accuracy seems good, recoil seems so light that it almost feels like a 22.
A little dirty, but not as bad as 231.
This load cycles my 5" Colt with a 18 lb recoil spring.
Just had a chance to measure the speed, was sighting in a shotgun, only pistol I had was my Kimber Compact 4" barrel.
Speeds were for 5 shots in order
638,710,630,727,692. 681 mean speed, varation is 99.
Am thinking that if I increase the load to 5-5.5 the varation should drop a bunch, and may get more consistant placement.
This powder seems to constantly need adjustment in the powder measure, sort of drifts up and down over a series of rounds, reloaded, and needs to be corrected about every 30-40 rounds. Anyone see anything wrong with my thinking??
And what are your favorite loades for titegroup and 200 lswc????
TIA
Jack

I use a Hornady powder measure. Reloaded 100 rds last night, and tapped the measure each time. No more problems with variation. May have solved the problem.

My response is really more regarding the metering problems you are having. I am using the Dillon Powder Measure and am having very good consistency. During the first 12 - 15 loads I have to adjust but after that it always holds the same charge. I have loaded over a period of days without having to adjust my setting. How much variation are you getting?[/B][/QUOTE]
