I have used this stuff for a lot of different things and wondered if it's ok for guns or are there areas on guns it shouldn't be used? It seems to work fine as an all purpose lube and I did see a Rem-oil product that contains Teflon so I am guessing it is the same or similar.

I've used Tri-flow in a variety of guns over the last 15 years. Seems to work ok, but without a side by side comparison of different lubes, it's all speculation anyway. In any case, I have a Govt 45 with over 50K rounds that was lubed almost exclusively with Tri-flow that still looks and shoots fine.

OTOH, I'm a firm believer that any lube will work as long as the weapon is cleaned and oiled/greased often.

Tri-Flow is a pretty good lube and protectant. It was used by the NASA KSC security team for quite a while on their weapons, not sure what they're using now though.

I prefer Break-Free CLP as it cleans as well, and is widely available and inexpensive.

Buy Break-Free CLP here at a great price: www.midsouthshooterssupply.com
