I'd like to replace the stock trigger on my SA mil-spec. My main reason is to get a longer trigger to fit my grip better and also to lighten the pull to around 4 pounds.

Do I need to replace the sear and hammer when I replace the trigger or will the original parts work with the new trigger?

Thanks for your help.

When you ask these questions, you need to give us more information. What kind of trigger would be valid. Will it have to be adjusted for take up and overtravel? The middle finger on the sear spring can be bent to give you a lighter pull, but that is NOT a " trigger job".Adjusting for over travel can creat more problems than it solves such as going full auto on you. We now have triggers that are wonderful in the hands of those who know how to adjust them. Give us enough to help you.We don't want to hurt anyone with this stuff.
