I saw an ad for an STI trigger for a para that says it is lighter and will therefore reduce reset time. Is there any merit to this claim or should I, ranked very low in class C of IPSC type shooting, figure my stock P14-45 trigger is good enough for me? The STI trigger was listed as $30.

IMHO, the trigger change, by itself wouldn't make a very noticeable difference. If it were part of a trigger job package, it would make more sense. I do understand that a lot of IPSC shooters like to shorten the trigger to have a more compact pull. I guess they do this by either replacing the trigger with one physically shorter, or machine or file it shorter.
I'm sure someone can do a better job at the explanation.

Really interesting....Don't ya think??
