This is for the owners of TRP Operator. I went to the range today and shot about 50 rounds. After I shot the rounds in my mag, the slide was locked half way back and I tried to work the slide a bit. While I was working the slide, I felt like the recoil spring was kinda "sluggish" and it was not working smoothly as I was working the slide back and forth. Anyone out there with this kind of problem? Can it be fixed?

Is it a new gun?

Did you clean it before you shot it?

May just need some breaking in and some lube on the guiderod and rails

I've put 2000 rounds thru it and this is the second time it has happened. I didn't lube it prior to the range visit, because I was going to clean and lube it afterwards. Maybe this is what caused the malfunction.

I bought a Government Model which exhibited "crunchy" recoil in hand operation. Turned out there was a Commander recoil spring guide and plug in the pistol.

If this pistol has the [horrible] two piece long guide rod I expect it can come partially unscrewed and grab the recoil spring.
