They have great quality, but I’m not digging the lineup. Is that just me?

I thought the same. I don't think I'd buy any of 'em.
Nope, it isn't just you. I don't like the changes made to either the Valor or the Specialist, dropping the Vigil, dropping calibers, etc. Not a fan of the current lineup.

Gas prices aren't the only thing that's gone up. I was wondering how long it would be before firearms would start seeing the same %10 plus cost increase as everything else.
Man am I glad to have acquired my Vigils when they were available. Last CCO was a hardly used .45 that I didn't need, but for barely $900 how could one go wrong. I too must be overly conservative when it comes to our taste in 19lls. The Vigil series guns were perfect; everything you needed and then some (like good checkering) and no bling. DW is starting to look like Kimber.
the list prices for the valor valkyrie and other high end dw's has been 2,000 to 2200 for several years. we just were lucky to have vendors that didn't charge that much. not sure what this bashing is about. i don't think you are going to find a new wilson for 2k.

It feels like a big ole' swing & miss by the marketing folks. I get it that when you make very few guns they all will sell but this reeks of a cost cutting lineup. This line up looks like 4 basic models, with a feature or 2 of distinction between the similar guns.

DW is good, but they ain't Wilson and Wilson prices haven't suddenly jumped with a severe reduction in the line up. In fact, Wilson line up is expanding rapidly and prices are pretty stable.

Going to their website is the same to me as going to the Kimber website. There's nothing on either site this is even close to worth their asking prices. Sure, you can get them cheaper at the LGS but even there, they're still overpriced to me. AND most of them are just fugly.

no, they are not wilson. however the buy in is still higher. if current dw situation makes you want to buy a wilson, i can heartily support that! as to the reduced product line, you can still order custom. if they don't make what you want, go to another maker. my beef is the bash.
I love Dan Wesson 1911's. They're some of the best value for quality 1911's there are. I have the first stainless steel 10mm Specialist Commander they made. Mine was a special order. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I don't understand all the whining. I have a Night Hawk Custom Recon Enforcer 10mm. The price is $1,700 more, but, the quality is the same. As for Wilson Combat, yes, they're good guns. Better than NHC? I doubt it.
No, sadly it just makes me not want DW. I had high hopes for another DW. I just used the Wilson example because you mentioned them.
DW still does custom?
