I have several 20 rnd boxes of ammo I'm thinking of selling.
Boxes are brown cardstock and say:
20 CARTRIDGES
PISTOL BALL
CALIBER .45 M1911
AMMUNITION LOT W. C. C. 6159
WESTERN CARTRIDGE COMPANY
The boxes are sealed so I cannot advise headstamp.
Appreciate any input.
Tnx

Marksman, this ammo definitely has corrosive primers. Most .45 ACP military ammo I've come across in 20 rd cartons is WWII vintage and has some collector value if the carton is in good shape. I've always been comfused about why they made the cartons for 20 rds - the normal load for a 1911 armed soldier at the time was 21 rds - 3 magazines.
