BTW, I'm in OH and find I can slide the holster forward on my belt and tuck my cover garment behind it. It works well enough that I believe I'm in compliance. YMMV.
As much as I hate having to handle the gun when I transfer it to another holster in the car, I'm pretty squeamish as I have a Ford Explorer with a huge console in the center that would block view of the gun from any angle, even when looking through the passenger side window. A lot of people say as long as they're not trying to conceal the weapon (by tucking back the cover garment) they feel they're in compliance, but someone on the
Ohio CCW Forum just had an encounter where the LEO specifically walked around to the passenger side of the car to make sure he could see the weapon. I think that would spell trouble for me and my Explorer. Therefore, I choose to throw a paddle holster into the front pocket of whatever pants I'm wearing to make it "in plain sight." May be overly cautious, but it helps me feel better.
