Hi folks,
I have been thinking of getting a Kimber, just the standard model. I have heard that the Kimbers are based somewhat on a Colt Series 70? Is there any talk of a Series 80 type Kimber with firing pin safety?
thanks
Hey, I just picked up a Stainless II. Looks great. Better built than the Colt IMHO. Trigger pull is quite different as well. It's the lowest model in Kimbers line and it's great to me. I wonder what those gold match and eclipses are like... Can't complain here. Also got a good price on it.
I just picked up a Custom CLassic all black. It shoots very well indeed. The firing pin safeties are not part of Browning's inspired design and are not necessary. Here's a link describing the forces necessary to cause an accidental discharge with out a firing pin safety -- basically it's a solution for a non-existant problem.
