Some time ago I noticed that the thumb lock on one of my Kimber Pro Carry's was disengaged after removing the gun from my fanny pack holster. This alarmed me so I checked the other Pro Carry (one is an HD II the other an SLE) and found that the tension on both was about the same. I ordered new Wolf springs as replacements. The new springs made the thumb lock much harder to maneuver and made the slide stop fail to lock the slide back on an empty mag. I liked the affect on the thumb lock but not the slide stop. I was able to correct the slide stop problem satisfactory and have been happy with the new springs ever since.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with the Kimber thumb lock/slide stop spring?

No problems with the plunger springs on either of my Kimbers.

In one of the threads here somebody replaced the spring because the safety was not engaging. After they changed it they had no problems.

When putting the gun back together I usually need to use a knife to push the spring back so my slide stop goes back in. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong.
