After an in store shooting Lowes has released this:


We appreciate your interest in Lowe's. Our policy regarding this issue is below. The possession of any weapon on company premises at any time is prohibited. well, that's news to me. guess i've been breaking company policy for a while now.

guess a new job is in the near future.

You know, we gotta stop doing this.

I'm sure every other business has an anti-gun "policy". Guns are bad, and all that. It covers their asses, and generally reflects that if ever asked "do you want a gun near you" 99% of Americans would say no.

Now, as to the political statement of actually posting a "no guns" sign, that's a different matter.

I tell you what. Let's ignore policies, and look for "no guns" signs. If someone sees a "no guns" sign, THEN let's go after Lowes/Home Depot to make them get rid of the SIGNs. Not the policy, just the signs.
