Hey all,
I called my local shop today to see if they had any new 1911 style pistols in. I was checking to see if they had the the new Kimber Eclipse that I could take a peek at. Anyway, my guy tells me that they have a couple of new Colt's. One is a Gold Cup and the other is one that I have never heard of or seen before. He said that it was a Custom Shop piece, it was 2 tone, adjustable sights, and a few other minor things. He said that the name of it was the 70CS or some such. I asked him if it was a series 70 and he didn't know. He said that it was brand new and that they just happened to luck into it from one of their distributors. He says that only vey few of them are made and they are all pretty much allocated when they are. He goes on to describe it as a "competition" gun, though it has no comp or things like that. The price rings in at 1550.
Anyone know what he is talking about? I told him I was coming in to see it this weekend as I am interested in seeing/holding it.
What do you think?
