I would like some opinions/comments on the Colt Gold Cup Trophy, Gold Cup MK IV National Match, and Gold Cup. I guess I want to own a Colt, but was pretty unhappy with a recent new XSE that I bought. Very poor trigger, sharp edges, rough, etc. Sold it without shooting it.

Anyway, I am looking for one of the above and wonder what the differences are between them and if one is more desireable than the others. All opinions will be greatly appreciated.

This is my opinion only. Getting an actual NIB Gold Cup National Match pre70, S70 or, S80 is difficult. Yet getting a NIB Trophy is very practical. The Gold Cup is a shooters Colt. It does'nt spend time in a safe usually. So get a brand new Trophy as its unfired and unaltered. And you will know its full potential as intended. You won't sell it without a big twist of the arm either.

Damn, Just sold a 1971 Gold Cup National Match that only had about 300 rounds thru it. Sorry I missed you post.
