Could be a shot in the arm for Arizona dealers
Not really. The CA law prohibits buying out of state and returning to CA with it. An exception is if one has a C&R FFL and a CA issued "Certificate of Eligibility". I have both and already have an out of state re-shipper who will forward whatever I buy, plus I visit the area (Medford, Grants Pass OR area) pretty much every month. So, I'll keep an eye out for "free shipping" deals to cut down on cost when I buy instead of reload.

Yep. And it demonstrates the slippery slope concept perfectly.

First CA required passing a test in order to buy a weapon.
Then they started registering them.
Then they restricted how many handguns you can buy in a year from a dealer.
Now they have forced us to essentially buy ammo retail face to face.
Next is a BC to buy said ammo.
I am worried about what might be next.
Don't forget that truly private gun sales in CA are prohibited, every one must go through an FFL. Let's not be surprised when CA figures out a way to match 2018's "legal" MJ purchases with those who have an FSC card and sends out HPD style "you used MJ, turn in your guns" letters.

It shouldn't be stopped, but I guess SG is just running scared. My order was for 24gauge all brass shotgun hulls, empty brass only, no primers.

In all fairness, they could have canceled an ammo order I had forgotten about. Their site still says they have not received new stock of the brass yet, so I'll hold off on accusations until they've had time to receive new stock and ship my order.

Otherwise, I think Cabella's carries the same Magtech brass: https://www.sportsmansguide.com/pro...ech-loadable-brass-shotshells-24-ga?a=1590559
SG declined to sell me an old GI "L" type M1 Carbine rear sight because it was an "assault weapon" part. I've not dealt with them since.

The FFL C&R plus CA COE exemption is useful and I have them. The issue may be that on line sellers will decide it's risky, or doesn't apply to them or some similar imagined issue. I've signed ou for "free shipping" from some sellers and have my ammo sent to southern Oregon where I have a mail box. Between reshipping and my frequent visits keeping well stocked should be easy. In addition to buying in state when needed.
