It is a simple question for me. I love bullseye. I've used it since the 80s and have worked up so many good shooting loads with it that I could feed just about all my handguns with it. So many accurate loads can be had with it that I think it is the best powder of them all. So curious if there are new powders out there that others feel is better than bullseye?

Rounds I load most are:
1. 9mm
2. 45acp
3. 38 super
4. 38 special
5. 380 auto

Shot Power Pistol in 9mm & .45 for a few years; it was loud plus too many grains in each case per #.
Since Titegroup always available, tried it & like it, accurate, meters well and not as loud. Load 4 gr in 9mm 115 RN @ 1100 FPS for steel plates, get 1700 + rounds per #. My back up powder is CFE Pistol, that's also always available, works well in .45 ACP.

I got a Browning High Power in 1982. 9mm was not popular so it was expensive compared to 38 Special. My brother and I had 38 Specials and 45 ACP so we decided to learn reloading and those were are first three calibers (with many more to be added over the years) The LGS had a clerk, Walter (WWII Veteran and retired lawman) who was an avid reloader and his choices were Bullseye, Unique and 2400. So that is what I used.

I could not get Bullseye so I was recommended BE-86 and it is very good and the only new powder I tried in 20 years or so. Bullseye is still my first choice.

I have powders I use a lot and have on hand all the time.

I use a lot of W231, Titegroup, Unique, 2400, Power Pistol, AA#9, HS-6, Bullseye, and W296. I once used a lot of IMR 4756, but since that has been discontimued I have been reluctant to dip into my stash. With the exception of the 38 Super, which I don't have, I load all of the same cartridges you do.

Win 231...Not the best for everything, but it meters well, serves our needs, simplifies inventory and comes in eight pounders.
HP-38 or Win 231 for the cartridges listed.
My brother was a big fan of W231 and the other Winchester powders. I have used W231 as a substitute for Bullseye.
