Well actually, they announced late last week that they are now offering their pistols in 9mm Luger (sorry, no 9x23). Sorry, don't know much more than that.

As popular as the 9x19 is becoming in competition, I'm surprised everyone hasn't jumped on it already! (Weenie paperkillers ;) )

You got your wish

Talked to Craig at Wilson today and he confirmed that they will be making a 4.1" upper on a FULL size frame. Should start around the end of this year or early next. Between the 9mm and the Comm. size....I do not know which one to order first.

That confirms what I was told last year that a commander size was in the near future. As for me that's an easy decision between the two new offerings, commander sized .45-it's been a long time coming!

I wonder if most would truly realize the difference between 4.1" and a 4.25". With my experience with their compacts, it ought to be a nice addition and a good running gun.

Now for the price?

A LW would be nice. I never understood cutting the barrel back 3/4" and keeping basically the same weight but then it never bothered me to carry the longer barrel.

If Wilson is going to make their pistols in 9mm hopefully they'll
also make 9mm mags..........

Just to confirm the 9mm news, I e-mailed Wilson's and asked. Not that I don't believe anyone on this site but I wanted to know for sure becuase I'm interested in getting one. They said they are taking orders right now for 9mm. He said they have about 80 on order so far. Get 'em while their hot!

I'll notice if it doesn't have a barrel bushing. I just don't understand Wilson's insistence on not making a real Commander. I guess I'll have to go with another brand.

I actually would rather have the 4.1 bull bushingless than the 4.25 bushing. It will be (a little) more comfortable in a IWB holster with the shorter barrel. Any accuracy difference is irrelevant.

Can't wait to see one!!:D

Any comfort gain would be irrelevant also. We are talking .15 of an inch here.

9mm Mags

Looks like I was wrong. Called Wilson and asked if they were making their own 9mm Mag. I was told NO:mad: ...... They will be using Metalform Mags instead.
