If you have the need to carry as you elude, then you also have the need for a holster that offers security beyond what nylon could offer. Most area shops will carry brands like Galco, Hume, Uncle Mike's and Fobus.
I recently bought a used Don Hume 721 open top from a forum member and love it. If you can find a shop that has Hume leather, go for it. Makes a great range holster later.
Bianchi accu-mold with a thumb break, maybe? I see those around local places and have one. It may not be THE best, but it's been working fine so far and that's on my cheapie belt.
