I tried searching, but got sidetracked on unrelated topics.

Back to my question. Worded another way, how long did new HPs come with a 13-round magazine or two?

Thanks,

John

Hello. The goofy ban took effect Sept 13th, 1994 and only magazines made prior could be sold. So, pistols made on or after that date would come with the 10-rnd magazines and those already made and sold to dealers would have had the 13 rnd magazines. Problem is that some of the dealers, not all, removed one or both of the Pre-ban Magazines and put 10-rounders in their place and then would sell the 13-rnd mags at a premium.

Best.

Thanks. My guess would have been that they didn't run out of 13-rounders for the new pistols until a year or more after the ban.

Okay, back to searching the old posts.

BTW, the trigger, and mag disconnect, on my month-old Mk.III has smoothed up quite nicely after only 500 rounds.

I think I like it better than my year-old CZ 75B Military
