Ok, guess Im not alone but unless there is a “ scheme” going on, Just Where Are All the Large Pistol Primers????? Have only found Large Magnum Pistol primers, zero, zip, nada standard Large Pistol Primers. Small Pistol and small Rifle. Seeing that most primer mfg is “ owned” by just a couple companies it getting to the point, “ if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its a duck”…..nuf sed.

I'd be happy to find the magnum type, too: I only want them for gallery/varmint loads in the 06.
Have not seen any Large Rifle Primers either. Starting to smell a Rat……

I’ve been seeing pistol and small rifle primers in my area regularly. What I can’t find anywhere is Match LR or LR Mag. Prices are $85-$110 per K.

I don’t know, but if you find them, let me know! Have not seen LPP in any local shops in over 2 years, and rarely see them online. I too smell something fishy…. Danny

Oh, that's the "'new normal' odour" (notice I used pinky-in-the-air spelling? ;-)

Vista is to blame, and the feds apparently can claim all production as theirs - to give away or stockpile - when they don't even have the money to pay for it. WHILE PREVENTING IMPORTS.

Yeah.. Good Times...

My LGS sells them at 200 per month for 7 bucks a hundred. Has been enough to feed the habit. This is what we need to keep at least some supply safe from the batsh*t hoarders.

Academy Sports Used to have them @ around$7-$8 / 100 but none in a month, there are 2 in the JAX area. Sportsman's Warehouse has/ had Sm Pistol and Rifle and Lg Pistol Mag. primers @ $7/100 with a LIMIT of 2 boxes, they are a hour away so can’t just “ drop in” and see what they have. 200 would last about a hour worth of loading.

Here is a source received yesterday.

They are all starting to show up, albeit horrid pricing, but it’s all marketing. All of the energy was focused on small pistol/rifle primers due to huge demand for them and the most popular ammo 9mm and 223. That ammo and small primers are coming down in $$. The large will follow.

In the meanwhile, people stuck with ugly small primer .45 cases are laughing all the way to the range.

Clearly, like any other product, this is a good example of getting what you can while you can. Those primers are all identical in cost to produce, and yet priced totally different!

@Jim Watson, I resemble that remark! :) Danny

Well, just recently, there was quite a bit of laughing AT the range about that very subject! Apparently there is a club of some sort that even went to the lengths of producing commemorative T-Shirts. The mastermind behind this devious plot shall remain anonymous, but it wasn’t me! We will be setting up online sales! 😆
