I would like to replace the crappy metal followers in my 17 rd S. African Hi-Power mags with factory plastic ones. I switched out a couple of the metal ones for the 2 followers from the factory 10 rounders that came with my gun. They worked much smoother & seemed to make the mag much easier to load.

I've tried Brownells and Browning for these parts to no avail. Anybody got any bright ideas?

hh: you might want to try polishing then tefloning the mag/follower. I found this really did wonders for one of my problematic KRD mags. see fnhipower.com for my recent post on this.

I did polish them up. I hadn't thought of the Teflon thing though. I'll give that a try since I still haven't had any luck on finding the other kind.
