I guess maybe my BOB is more robust than some. I have three BUG's in it...

1. Glock 20, 10mm (for personal self-defense)
2. Ruger 10/22, .22LR (for fetchin food, you can pack 1200 rounds pretty easy)
3. AR carbine in 6.5 Grendel (in case something goes bad with #1 or #2)

I believe the definition of a BUG is a secondary to your carry piece, not rifles.

Don't carry a bug, but I am interested in the Kahr 380; looks to be well thought out and manufactured. I can't say enough good things about my K9.

I don't carry one, but if I did I like the Mauser Hsc. Just can't get warm and fuzzy about ANY plastic pistol.

(No BUG poll is complete without a J-frame :biglaugh:)

You could have written:
"Looking to get a BUG to compliment my ______________"

And "340PD" would be my aswer to anything you could possibly have written in the blank.

Of the two on your list, the Kahr, though I would get a slightly larger 9mm (I carry a MK9, the all stainless version of the PM9). I also believe a J frame Smith & Wesson should be on everyone's must consider list, mine's a 640-1 all stainless .357 magnum.

Having said all that, my advice is to go handle, and shoot if possible, everything you can get your hands on in the category of BUG/pocket pistol and get the one(s) that work best for you. I have largish hands, but adapt well to a variety of designs, everything from the Kel-Tec P32 to wide-body autos and N Frame Smith & Wessons work for me. Some fit better than others though, YMMV.

Ruger LCP is nice, I have one, very small and reliable. 380 is real tough to come by right now which is a big drag.

I would consider one of the small 9s, Kel-tec PF9 or the Walther PPS.
