I have a parkerized Hi-Power that I am considering refinishing. I want a very durable finish. Which is best and how much do they cost?

....Hard chrome?
....Duracoat?
.....Other?

Hard Chrome - Satin Or Brush Finish $200.00
Electroless Nickel $200.00
Parkerize – Specify Black Or Gray $135.00
Birdsong's Black-T (Teflon) $200.00
For Pistols With Alloy (Aluminum) Frame, Add (Except Black-T) $80.00
This is from Don Williams' site, picked because I knew the address: http://www.theactionworks.com/browning.htm

Just a ballpark as to what one gunsmith charges for refinishing.

Why don't you like the Pakerized finish?

The Parkerized is ok, but this gun is from the 80's. It has hardly been shot but it was carried quite a bit. It has holster wear, scratches and some blemishes on it.
If refinishing it is too much money, then I will just use this as my beater HP. I have already put 3M tape on the front strap. Feels great. (I have another blued HP that is now my safe queen)

Robar does some excellent refinishing.
