Am I the only idiot that does this.
I just went out of town for the weekend and there was this oddball magazine sitting on my bench.
Hard to find, expensive etc so I figure I will just put it out of sight in the off chance some idiot breaks in and pockets it.

Two weeks later and that magazine is missing in action.
I have NO ideal where I might have thought was sufficiently ‘out of sight’.
So another episode of turning the house upside down to find the damn thing.

The worse ever was a BHP I stashed somewhere- it took me two years to find it..

I keep hoping on one of these searches I’ll find something another home owner here stashed up in the rafters.
THAT hasn’t happened yet but I’m still missing a case of 5.56 and an oddball magazine..

I do it all the time. I remember using a special tool on my Harley and when done I put it up on the shelf. A year or so later I needed to use it again and I just could not find it at all. So I bought another one. When finished using it I proceeded to put it on the shelf where I could find it again. I put it right next to the first tool I couldn’t find earlier.

10 mm wrenches are the worst tools for hiding on you. I swear I have bought like 20 of them but I can’t find one when I need it. But after I buy another one they all come out from hiding.

I go through this more times than I'd like to admit to. I often think "if I don't put this away, I'll lose it". Sure enough, I can't remember where the devil I put it when I need it.

My bride had a habit, developed while married to her ex-husband (the deadbeat), of hiding cash in-between the pages of books. She had gone so far as telling her daughter, "when I die, don't throw or give away any books until you go through them". On the bright side, the items will show up sometime, maybe. 😆

I cannot remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday - let alone find something I put away two weeks ago. I am still looking for a Glock 20 that I have misplaced. It is here - somewhere, I just cannot find it right now. It will show up sooner or later - they always do...

Then again, I have family and my house gets rearranged on a regular basis.
My worst nightmare is going into the garage only to find out my bride has straightened it up. That causes several months worth of events such as this. :(

Two weeks ago I bought some new cleaning brushes.

I still haven't figured out where the hell I put them after coming home.

This is embarrassing.
There is a convenience store a half block away from my home. Unless the weather is awful I walk.
I drove my Jeep over one night when it was raining. I purchased the eggs and butter for the wife and headed home.
My wife looked up when I walked in and asked "Where is your Jeep?"
I said "I will be right back."😐
