I am thinking of putting together a full size 1911 in 40 S&W for IDPA and Limited 10 (tired of leaving the increasingly hard to scrounge .45 brass on the range during competitions). Is anyone making 40 S&W Magazines?

Thanks,
MArvin

MArvin, The best 9 rd. mags I have found are the Metalforms. The best buy is the 10 rd. KRD .45 mag. These are from cdnn.com for a grand total of $6.95. You can reshape the 9 rd basepad to fit a magwell equiped gun. You will be able to get 10 rds. of .40 into the mag with ease. They feed flawlessly in my Kimber. Forgot to mention the 10 rd. Ed Brown .45 mags work well also.

.40 mags

Ditto on the Metalform mags. Mec-Gar also makes .40 cal mags. Some people that reload seat their bullet shallower and use 10mm mags.
