I only have 8 factory Hi-caps for my P-14 and am considering buying some aftermarket 10 rounders for practice, and keeping the factory ones for carry and comp.

Anyone have any comments on whose to use?

I'm getting away from Para's now, but had very good luck with Mec-gar mags. I had to cut down the step on the slide stop holdup, but they worked well. Shot 'em for years, and finally had to replace springs with Wolff. Got their springs for a P-12 to replace them with, and bent the top to fit the Mec-Gar follower.

A lot of gyrations to go through, but these were the only ones that never caused problems for me.

I gotta agree with gm45, I've run mecgar mags in my para with no problem, they have been dropped, kicked and generally abused, and still run great. I actually prefer them to the factory para 10 rounder.
