You have to be careful with spring length. I once put a commmander spring in my Kimber compact and it damaged the recoil spring plug. I now use the Wolf spring just made for the Kimber compact and it works great. Just because the barrel length is the same, does not mean the recoil springs are the same, unless you are talking standard 5" or Commander with a barrel bushing.
Why do the SA Compact and Kimber Compact use diff. recoil springs?
Both are 4" bull barrel setups. According to Wolff they use different springs. According to Wilson Combat they use the same. Who is right? I just bought a Kimber Compact CDP 4" and I have 8 Wilson Combat SC22 springs. Are they alright to use?
