What a day!!! Set up the Projector for .45ACP. Forgot to change to the large primer cup. #$%@ Dumped a full tube of primers all over the floor. *&^@! Missed a 9MM case inside a .45 case and break the decapping pin. Empty the measure and go sit in front of the TV. Today must be my "dumb as a box of rocks" day, as CMSGT Klien used to say.

I'm with you Eddie! Not only do I sometimes have the same problems, but then you have to sort the 9mm casings from the .45, change tooling on my machine, order different components, shoot both calibers to stay proficient, buy another holster rig, etc. I'm getting rid of my 9mm and sticking with my .45, one press always set up, one kind of powder, one kind of brass, and one kind of gun (1911) to stay familiar with. I have to stick with the KISS system or I end up having a "dumb as a box of rocks day" also.

You think you are having problems mixing 45 and 9mm. Our local range now has a few shooting the 9x18 and leaving their brass. Try sorting out the 9x18 from your 9x19!! These old eyes cannot spot one inch much less one millimeter.

Oh man can I sympathize with that!!! I always manage to get one of two Makarov's in with my Luger brass no matter how careful I am.

What is neat though is on my Dillon 650 the 9X18 doesn't bell so the bullet falls over on the upstroke and I catch it that way.

I haven't owned a 9MM in several years. I must have owned seven or eight before I gave up on 'em. To much work to get decent accuracy, unless you want to send Wilson or Baer your first born. My .45s will turn in a decent performance with just about anything I stuff in 'em.

Another reason to stay away 'em.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... if you own a .45, then is a 9mm necessary?
Now donning the flame retarding suit and entering the bunker... actually, I do own a 9mm - BHP, and I love it, too!

Necessity has very little to do with owning guns (much like cars). Of the 9MMs I did own the HP was my favorite. Still wasn't as accurate as my .45s. The pressure curve is to spikey in the 9. The .45 is a nice smooth arc.

Question for NAA -- Since when did "Necessary" enter into the decision to purchase another "Toy"!!!Let's face the truth. Self defense is only what we tell ourself and our wife to justify another firearm. The real truth is we simply like them.

Okay, Houston... you have a launch! You're right on there! As for calibers, medium to big bore handgun... I like 'em all.

Currently reload for .38Spl, .357, .41Mag, .45ACP, 9mm, .40 S&W, 10mm and .455
I just happen to like the .45ACP the best! Regards, NAA.

Why 9mm,,,,,because Kel-Tec doesn't make a .45 ACP that would fit in my pocket and give me ten rounds of felon repelant.

With that said, I almost always carry my Kimber Classic Custom. But my mode of dress doesn't always allow for something of that size.

I wanted more than a .380,,,,but it didn't want a small .40 S&W, so that brought me back to the 9mm, and Kel-Tec since it was the smallest thing I could find that has been realiable.

Thanks,
