I like it in full-size, would like to know if the comm model fits in a compact.

I ask because the recoil assembly on the Kimber compact has a rather unique plug (due to bull barrel).

No, because the Commander is 4 1/4" while the Compact is 4". There might be a version made specifically for the Kimber, however.

I was thinking about that recently as well. However even if you could get one properly sized for the Compact, how are you going to take the thing down? You can't drill a hole in the Harrts for the paperclip.

Hmm - I thought the compact was 4.25", also, i.e. commander slide, officer frame.

But either way the "no paperclip for take down" would make things a lot more painful. It would almost be possible, except for the barrel link being pushed back. . .
