Does Wilson make any 8 round mags that are flush fit, i.e. without that thick protruding black plastic base plate? I want some good mags for conceal-carry and that extra half inch base plate sticking out is just another half inch I have to conceal.

For flush fits, metalform and CMC mags have 8 rounders. Or, you can buy a short base pad for the Wilson. It does not fit flush, but it is much lower than their thick version, but protrudes enough so that you get positive lock when inerting the mag via the base of your hand. With flush models during tactical or combat reloads, making sure the mag is locked in can be a problem, hence the advantage of protruding pad mags.
