Wilson beavertail safety ?

I have a Colt 1991A1 and am wanting to know if the Wilson Combat drop in beavertail is really a drop in on this gun and if so what kind of commander hammer would you recommend with this safety? I've already replaced the trigger with a Videcki.
Thanks.

Grif, it doesn't just 'drop-in' for all. It didn't work for my XSE. It would require some fitting. Since that was going to be the case, then I was going to wait to get a smithy to put a Smith & Alexander or Brown piece in.
It didn't drop into my ser. 70 Colt. Although I didn't have to cut/recontour the frame, it required a lot of close fitting in the tang. BTW, the Wilson g/s is easy to screw up and I had to trash the first one I tried to install.
Usually the fitting is on the trigger block tang.If you do need to fit to the tangs,do it on the safety to preserve the gun.
Griff, be sure to order the correct Wilson drop in. The 1991A1 Gov't model takes (believe it or not) the Government model grip safety. Some of the Series 80 Govt's actually use the Commander drop in. Like Templar333 I recently tried a Wilson drop in in my new XSE lightweight Commander and it did not fit. It was too wide to fit in between the tangs on the rear of the frame. I broke the edges on the safety, but it still did not fit. I did not want to mark up my new XSE lightweight frame, so I gave up on it, not wanting to have my tang cut on by a gunsmith to fit another grip safety. Have used these drop in's on a number of guns in the past with excellent results. Does take fitting of the arm, and you should have an idea of what you're doing here (it is a safety). If not, have a smith fit it for you. Any quality hammer (Wilson, Brown, etc) will work with the grip safety.

I, too, am rather new to fitting a BT safety, but understand the workings of the trigger, sear, etc. Can someone post pix of "fitting the arm" as quoted above and some directions?

Thanks!
I put a Wilson drop-in on my Delta Elite. The rear of the frame, down by the trigger bow, had to be opened up very slightly, but all the work was on the inside, where the grip safety would cover it, anway.
