hello guys ,new to your forum

I just purchased a Wilson millennium protector, i was wondering if any of you have any first hand info about this model, the one i have has armor- tuff finish ,w/night eyes

It was reasonably priced ,so I bought it ,I was wondering what you guys lube your Wilson’s with ?????

Also if anyone has a old catalog with the millennium protector ,featured you would part with

I know it is one of Wilson’s bottom line pistols but it is one of the slickest 1911’s I have ever seen at the price

Thanks in advance

I use Wilson's grease and oil that they sell in the plastic syringes.
It's cheap, works and one tube lasts forever.

Get the video Wilson produces and just clean and lube your Wilson just exactly like Bill Wilson show you to on the video.

Are there better way's to do it?

Are there better oil's/grease products?

Possibly, but since Wilson is willing to stand behind their product for a lifetime, I'll do it their way.

Welcome to 1911.com and good choice on the Wilson Protector. I'm sure you will enjoy it for a lifetime.

Welcome, gpostal! I also carry a Millenium Protector daily, and love mine. While the price of an MP has always been lower than the other offerings from Wilson, you lose absolutely nothing in the way of quality from the pistol. It's an outstanding value for the money that offers the same tight and demanding tolerances of rest of the Wilson line.

As far as lubing it goes, I have nothing much to add what mowerman has said (his advice about getting Bill Wilson's video is especially helpful). I've longed used Tetra Lube products for my guns, but as much from habit as anything else. Anyway you slice it, there are some great lubricating selections these days for your Wilson. You made an excellent choice, which I'm sure you realized on the ride home from your first trip to the range! geegee
