Because people often ask about sales, Wilson Combat is having a sale on "reconditioned" mags. (Whatever that means.) See their website wilsoncombat.com.

They have 7, 8, and 10 round mags, all for the same price of $15.

Reconditioned mags
These are the same mags returned for reliability problems by customers.

You get what you pay for

A great deal usually isn't.

Dane, since you advise use of Wilson mags and in fact are selling some, is there something we should know about the reconditioned mags? I was under the impression that these reconditioned mags had springs and followers replaced. I thought there wasn't a lot else that could go wrong with them. I bought 3 of them. I have only put about 3 mag loads each thru them but so far function has been flawless.

As an aside, what I thought it what was funny about Wilson's sale is that he had 700 of the standard 870 safeties for sale that he had removed from guns while adding his big button safety. I guess if I have any work done by Wilson I will ask for my old parts back. He should give a price break on installing of new parts if he keeps the old ones for resale (notice all the barrels he has).

While I can't say for certain, I would imagine that many of the guns they removed parts from, where guns they purchased, and sold directly through Scattergun Technologies, not customer take-off parts.

IMHO, I seriously doubt that Wilson Combat would act in any manner that might be questionable, such as selling a customers take off's.
You are probably right. I hadn't thought of that.

Just for giggles, I bought 5 of the retread 7rd mags. They spec'd out within tolerances, new springs and followers, and the original but serviceable pads. Ran a bunch of ammo through them yesterday, felt good to get out and shoot, kept telling myself that while I was picking the brass up out of the snow(LOL) They worked fine and I will use them for matches and practice(I prefer 8rounders for duty use)10-43 (for your info) Have a good one, DC And for the record, I agree with Dane, YOU do get what you PAY for! (lucked out this time
