Hope I'm not duplicating info. However, I would appreciate knowing if the larger primer hole in the newer Winchester brass requires a change in the reloading data? I've tried to get a reply directly from Winchester to no avail.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom, I cannot quote the source, however, I heard the W-W cases in 45 ACP with the larger than normal primer hole can be loaded like normal cases. I have been loading them for at least the last six months with no problem. When I first noticed the larger hole, I was very concerned and worried about increased pressures. This has not been an issue with my reloads, although, I do load on the moderate side.

When Winchester first came out with "WinClean" ammo, we noted the larger flash hole in the cases in both 9mm and .45acp. I e-mailed Winchester and they responded that they had run tests on these new cases and there was no problem reloading them with regular reloading data.
That was maybe 3 years ago.
