Kevin;
Wolff just sent me a couple with base pads. They look good, very smooth and well-made, but I've only ran a couple hundred rounds through them so far. Wolff's General Manager tells me they mostly produced the magazines to make a statement. That being that 1911 magazines for self-defense should be 7 rounds for maximum reliability. The only complaint I have with the magazines is the base pad is very thick and protrudes too much, for my liking, from the butt. It does make it easier to slam the magazine home but I prefer the thickness and shape of the pads on the Wilson mags.
