I was comparing some USGI Boyt shoulder holsters, and noticed that the strap on one is somewhat thinner than the straps on the others. Looks legitimate to me by the stitching, leather condition, snaps, etc. The one in question(1943) is in the middle of the photo. I don't know if different armed forces stipulated different designs, or if it's an earlier design, or if it might be a FAKE. Any insights from holster collectors would be appreciated.

Charles Pate noted in his book "U.S. Handguns of World War II" that both narrow and wide straps have been seen on these Boyt 43 holsters (P. 294). They look legit to me.

Thank you for that information. I was skeptical about this one, especially since it is marked USMC.
