I read a lengthy Post on another Forum from a guy who had his dealer order him the only 2 1911A1's he could find. The customer paid $995 apiece for them. He took them home, took one out of the box. He then wiped about a pint of oil off it and detail stripped it. The man said the MSH Pin is plastic, The internal parts were very rough and the color finish varied between the parts. He also found numerous flaws in the 'cast' parts. There were several exterior scratches on the slide and receiver. There was only 1 magazine per gun (there is supposed to be 2)and the magazines were blue instead of parkerized. The sights were "Small" WW1 1911 vintage. Needles to say he was very disappointed and returned both pistols for a full refund - $25.00....He commented that "They weren't worth $550 let alone the $1000 price Colt has put on them" MSRP.......
