There is/was a third edition of the 1911 Redux pdf. It has 3D rendering that you rotate, flip, etc. Mine has a date of 2017. And VERY LARGE file.

I can't find it on the net anymore, but I do have a copy if anyone wants it. Just send a PM with your email address and I'll fire it off to you.

 

When I try to use the original link that log posted, it tried to take me straight to my local hard drive with the 'C:/' drive designation; and of course log's local account and files are not located there. Log did edit the link, and it now works as expected.

I've been a Design & Development Engineer for over 40 years and admire the work that Mr. Benson did on the M1911A1 Redux. Part of the artistry is in how the individual models were created, not just the final model or PDF. Does anyone know if the 3D models in the Original Cad format are available. I know Mr. Benson originally offered the Models for a Fee, but I don't know if anyone has taken over custody of the models on his behalf.

 

Unfortunately, Mr. Benson passed away last June. The subject of models did not come up in any of my discussions with him regarding his renderings.
