Been using these for about a year. the more I use them, the more I like them.
Took my Wife to the range yesterday and gave her some in 38 cal to clean here Smith and Wesson model 19 and she said they worked great.
It's a swab that comes in calibers and fit the bore and chambers nice and snug.
Put your favorite solvant or CLP on it and it's ready to go.

Yes, just recently “discovered “ them. Got them in 9, 40 and 45. They work well for a quick clean; I’m quite pleased. Now, if they only made them for rifle and shotgun,………….

If I would try them I would probably use them. I am all for easier and better. I need some bore brushes so I will add them to the order.

Yes I use them, not just for the bore but inside rails. The bigger ones have more tip that fits inside places like the rails , down the mag wells, cleaning inside revolver cylinder.
They make adapter to connect to cleaning rods for rifles.
Use them to clean parts inside holes. They kept lots of oil and cleaners, don't have to be dipped in bottle as often.

I use them every time I go to the range, they're very convenient and they work well. When I'm done with a pistol I swab out the bore/cylinder with Hoppes and let it sit while I either shoot something else or change targets. Cylinders/flutes/frame window gets swabbed with the Ramrodz too. When I'm done for the day all bores/cylinders get wiped with a fresh, clean Ramrodz.

I've put hundreds of rounds through my regular shooters and I haven't seen the need to scrub with a bore brush yet. They're excellent for .22s--no scratching/rubbing of a metal cleaning rod against the rifling and you don't have to struggle with a too tight patch.

I did order the .223 rifle swabs--they come with a plastic fitting for a standard rod and the Ramrodz themselves are about 3" long--they look like a 1 sided Q-tip. I didn't like them for cleaning rifles, since the metal rod can still abrade the rifle bore, so I went back to the bore snakes. I use the .223 tips for detail cleaning--they work fine for those.

One last thing--there are copies of the Ramrodz but the original is still the best. The "big-name" copy I tried was too loosely wound and I sent it back for a refund. One of the LGS stocks Ramrodz, so I buy a few different sizes every year or so--you get a lot of swabs in one package. They're worth every penny.

The Ramrodz I save for bores and cylinders, I use these for nooks and crannies.
Great for cleaning out firing pin and extractor tunnels.

I too use them all the time, mostly on 1911's. When I get home from the range, I lock the slide back, dip the RamRod in some Hoppes, then clean the bore, the feedramp and the magazine well . I wipe the gun down with something like G-96, before putting it away.

After a range trip, I lock the slide back, spray with bore cleaner, then send a Ramrod down the pipe followed by a bore snake. This helps make the bore snake stay much cleaner. I predict that if people will try Ramrodz that patches will follow the path of uncoated lead bullets.
