Highly considering this pistol, however a 6MOA red dot is a must for me. I've spent the better half of the last couple of days searching forums for confirmation that adding a red dot to the dovetail (a Novak style cut) cycles fine. But all I've found is info on what parts work or info on centerfire 1911's.
I understand that some models can be finicky out of the box, but those issues aside... is there anyone out there that has a mini reflex sight (slide mounted) that's functioning fine? Or anyone know of someone?
My guess/hope is that a dovetail mount from EGW and a really light optic (~1oz) might be fine. But before I buy the gun, I'd really like to hear at least 1 or 2 examples that it'll be fine. My LGS told me I'll likely have problems and then recommended the buck mark.
